It's a "static" type noise that relates to my engine RPM. It seems to be getting progressively worse. I hear it when I open the squelch on my mobile and on some freqs of my FM broadcast radio. My mobile radio is connected directly to the battery. Today I changed the alternator hoping I would luck out. I don't know how old it was and it wasn't going to be hard to replace so I went in that direction. No joy. The spark plugs aren't as easy to get to in this V-6 so I didn't do that first.
