I’ve spoken to him previously, and </p><p class=MsoNormal> I’ve had a DBJ-1 deployed for 8 months. In every way I can measure, it performs as well as my 5/8 wave vertical ground plane (with radials) at far lower cost. </p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The PVC plastic conduit is available anywhere electrical wiring supplies are sold (Piersons, True Value Hardware, etc.) for about $2. There’s definitely some satisfaction in assembling the unit in its PVC tube. For sheer component portability and effectiveness, this is a great way to boost the performance of any HT. </p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> I keep mine deployed atop a telescoping tripod Light-pole (or speaker- pole) on the patio through the summer months for extended HT coverage to all the local repeaters. </p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Now I’d like to purchase the dual band Roll-up kit -- DBJ-2. 1 @ $30.</p><p class=MsoNormal>For the HAM frequencies. </p><p class=MsoNormal>The included feed line extension needs to have a SMA Female on ONE end to fit to my Baofeng BF-F8 HT.</p><p class=MsoNormal>Other End, either UHF connector OK (SO 239 or PL 239).</p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Please let me know how to handle payment.
